Banki Green Istrian village: A new investment in Istria’s tourism

The Banko family, long-time residents of Tinjan in Istria, has introduced the Banki Green Istrian Village, a sustainable tourism project that blends modern amenities with authentic Istrian charm. Situated in the largely untouched village of Banki, this development spans three hectares and offers accommodations such as mobile homes with private jacuzzis, glamping tents, and facilities including a swimming pool, restaurant, and wellness center.

With an investment of around six million euros, the Banko family anticipates a 10-14% return on investment within 10 to 12 years, underscoring the region's growing appeal for investors. The project emphasizes harmony with the natural landscape, using traditional Istrian architectural elements and sustainable practices like local materials and advanced water purification systems.

Open until the end of November in its inaugural season, the village provides a peaceful retreat in nature and reflects the increasing investment potential in Croatia's continental tourism sector.

Future expansion plans include cottages with private pools, a local product shop, a children’s playground, and a family garden, further enhancing the village's appeal as a unique and sustainable destination.
